A bit about Scalyr
Scalyr’s mission is to build the best tool for engineers to understand their operational systems. Our CEO, Steve Newman, cofounded Writely (aka Google Docs). Frustrated by the fact that visibility tools - even Google’s in-house tools - weren’t keeping up, he started Scalyr to build a better solution. It’s lightning fast, feature-rich and customers love it. The opportunity in front of us is huge and we are still in the very early days. This is going to be one of those companies where people will look back and say “I wish I’d been there when…” well, this is “when”.
You will manage the teams that build the core UI and UX experience at Scalyr. This is an amazing opportunity for anyone passionate about delivery high quality products to a discerning audience. We have a passionate user base of very intelligent engineers and they need a product that can keep up with them!
Your prime responsibility will be managing the team's execution against the product roadmap. You will help scale the team through hiring, create processes to track execution, work with the product team to help define the roadmap, and communicate progress throughout the company. The engineering management team is still small, making this an ideal time to join to help shape the culture of the engineering team. You will work closely with the Head of Engineering and the CEO.
