A bit about Scalyr
Scalyr’s mission is to build the best platform for engineers to understand their operational systems. Our CEO, Steve Newman, cofounded Writely (aka Google Docs). Frustrated by the fact that visibility tools - even Google’s in-house tools - weren’t keeping up, he started Scalyr to build a better solution. It’s lightning fast, feature-rich, and customers love it. The opportunity in front of us is huge and we are still in the very early days. This is going to be one of those companies where people will look back and say “I wish I’d been there when…” well, this is “when.”
You will help define the Scalyr story, be in charge of how we come across to the world, and help our sales team rock! This role is highly cross functional and requires strong partnership with our sales, product, customer success, and executive teams, as well as external agencies. You’ll be responsible for crafting compelling narratives for Scalyr that target the DevOps and Engineering teams within high-growth, high-technology businesses.
You will be responsible for our corporate marketing strategy and approach, and make the most out of all of our public-facing assets such as our website, run our media and analyst strategy with the help of our full-fledged PR agency, and manage our presence at events and tradeshows. You will partner with our community manager to run our social media strategy and get the most out of our engaged audiences.
You’ll be a key influencer into thought leadership, use data from our cloud product and survey data to educate our audiences and establish Scalyr as a trusted source of knowledge about cloud log management and operational visibility, and take advantage of customer best practices to deliver great tools, tips, and tricks to our key audiences to earn their trust and further Scalyr’s reputation in the market.
